Coming Up: 2 Year Old Goldfish Birthday

I am so excited for my Upton's 2 year Goldfish themed birthday party coming up next weekend. Here is what I will be working on:

I'll be making a similar cake ball cake. Hopefully will be less mess for the Toddlers!

I love the table decor here. Lots of orange and blue, and of course, Goldfish!

I can't wait!!

Adler's Birthday Cake

Finally got pics of Adler's Yoda cake uploaded from his big Star Wars 4th Birthday Party. The cake was a hit, and a lot of fun (and maybe a little bit of a pain) to make! :)

Can't believe my baby is 4. He is growing so fast, I guess it is good we are about to start over with a second one! :)

4th Birthday Cupcakes

So, being the obnoxious overachieving mom that I am, I not only bake the cake for the birthday party, but I bring cupcakes for Adler's class as well. These are what I am working on for Friday:

They are Peanut Butter Ball Chocolate Cupcakes. I made the peanut butter balls last night. There is probably nothing I love more than the combination of PB and Chocolate. So these are going to be dangerous!

More pics to come on my progress...

New-ish Cake and Cupcake Designs

The Longhorn cupcakes for TX/OU weekend
I have been terrible (as usual) about posting my latest creations, so here are some of them from Fall 2010 to Winter 2011...

The finished product

The Thomas The Train cake I made for our friend's little boy. It was a hit!

No, I didn't make this. But It's my next project. Adler's 4th birthday cake! Wish me luck!

Baby Shower Cake

I found this picture and realized I had never posted it. It's a baby shower cake I made for Kevin's second cousin's friends....is that clear enough...good.

Here it is:

Success!

So the chocolate cake that I made for (now I can tell you who it was for) Brandon's surprise birthday party turned out great!! It was a little scary there for a little while because it's all chocolate....in August...in Texas!

But here is the final result:

I think it came out lovely. Everyone seemed to love it! And it didn't melt, which was definitely a plus!
So yay! One new technique tackled!
